O Siyam: Aboriginal Art inspired by the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games is the Vancouver Olympics bilingual, souvenir art book featuring the works by 34 First Nation, Inuit, and Métis artists. The title reflects the respectful Coast Salish welcome. The catalogue format is organized into West Coast, East Coast, North and Central regions. Each artist's work is featured with a colour image and a brief biographical sketch and a description of the piece along with the artist's inspiration. The Four Host Nations commissioned the art pieces from across Canada and the result shows the growth and development of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis art forms. Many of the pieces are part of the welcome area for each venue during the Winter Games and will be part of a permanent collection following the Olympics. The book features established and emerging artists. These include Susan Point, George Littlechild, Michael Nicoll Yahgulanaas, Alan Syliboy, Elliott Doxtater-Wynn, Dean Heron, Jonathan Joe, Liz Carter, Marjorie Lewis Paul, Krista Point, Debra Sparrow, Johnine Abraham, Donald Chretien, Stephan Peltonen, and Pamela Baker. The book has English and French text and an index.
