K'd'Inawaewininaun Our Language is an Ojibwe language course was developed for language teachers by Ojibwe linguist Basil Johnston. Organized into 23 lessons this spiral bound resource includes 150 of the most common verbs in the language. The lessons build on basic information that imparts simple sentences and everyday vocabulary and moves on to more complex sentences and statements. Key to understanding the language is knowledge of the 200 commonly used prefixes as well as 38 suffixes that alter and modify verbs and nouns. This important list is provided for the teacher. Lessons include names, health, family relationships, food, animals, clothing, time, geography, directions, colours, shopping, growth, and work.
