Alfred Reading Series is a set of five readers designed for preschool to grade one children. Titles include Alfred's First Day at School (book 1), Alfred's Summer (book 2), The Big Storm (book 3), The Pow-wow (book 4) and Lisa and Sam (book 5). Young children will enjoy the various adventures of five-year-old Alfred and his older sister, Lisa. These contemporary Aboriginal children have fun in the summer with their grandparents, attend a pow-wow, and finally prepare for Alfred's first day of school.
