Alberta Elders' Cree Dictionary - Alperta Ochi Kehtehayak Nehiyaw Otwestamakewasinahikan began as a project in the mid-1970s by Sister Nancy LeClaire, a Samson Cree from Hobbema, Alberta. The result is a valuable Cree language resource, specifically the Woods Cree and Plains Cree. The Cree-English and English-Cree sections are supplemented with a New Terms section that makes for a dictionary of contemporary Cree language usage. This dictionary is a recommended reference text for language teachers, libraries and individuals interested in Plains Cree. A hardcover edition is also available.
