Basic Ojibwe: Learn to Speak and Understand Ojibwe with Pimsleur Language Programs is a set of 5 CDs by the Native American Preparatory Center in Bemidji, Minnesota. The Pimsleur method of language learning exposes learners to language spoken in everyday conversations. In this method the learners hear vocabulary, grammar and pronunciation as spoken by male and female language speakers. The introduction explains that these CDs use the Ojibwe language as it is spoken by Red Lake, Leech Lake, and White Earth community members. There are 10 lessons provided in this set of CDs. The CDs provide learners with basic conversation samples such as greetings and other everyday conversations. The system is designed to assist language learners in speaking rather than writing the language. Ample time is provided between the conversations for the learner to repeat the phrases.
