Each kit contains: 4 Student Books (5 copies of each); 1 full-colour Book of Old Stories (The Bear and the Thunder Woman, and Napi and the Coyote Race); 1 set (224) of black and white Flashcards, 1 68-page Alphabet Book, 1 247-page Teacher's Guide; and 3 audiocassettes (Stories by Siksika Elders Margaret Bad Boy and Beatrice Poor Eagle and songs by Robert Sun Walk). The Siksika Board of Education developed this comprehensive learning kit for use in its schools. Siksika Language Level 3 is designed to teach oral and to introduce written language skills for primary/elementary programs. It can be easily adapted for all levels including adult education. Each level has several components including: prayer, daily routine, dialogue, echo-acting, cultural activities, legends, language and concept development stories, guessing games, rhythm poems, arts and crafts, song and dance, audio-visuals, evaluation and grammar questions. Each level consists of 8 units with 9 lessons each. The materials are designed so that no specialized training is necessary for the language teacher.
